General Accountability

 

Coordinates and administers the daily activities associated with system wide contracts for the supply of goods and services; performs pre-award activities, such as determining product specifications and/or the scope of work and coordinates the procurement process with relevant staff; performs post award activities, such as coordinating the day-to-day activities of each system contract and monitors vendor performance.
 

Key Job Functions

 

Coordinate and administer the daily activities relating to section specific contracts for the supply of goods and services for the section's requirements, including pre-award and post-award activities. 

Monitor systems, contract changes, revisions, expenditures and vendor performance to ensure on-time delivery/material returns; inspect the quality of goods and services received; monitor vendor compliance with terms and requirements of specifications.

Participate in preparing departmental reports and status updates on diverse matters relating to the section's activities: procurement, contract awards, claims, inventory control, inspection visits, systems management, expenditures, or vendor compliance.

Negotiate pricing with vendors to reduce the cost of goods purchased; check contract commitments and expenditures and analyze price adjustments for contracted goods and services.

Locate and develop alternate sources of supply for goods/services to increase the competition and reduce the cost of goods/services purchased.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (staff, users, buyers, management, vendors, suppliers, contractors, receiving, shipping) on matters relating to inventory flow, delivery of goods/services, requirements, schedules, issues and solutions. 
  • Promotes a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies.

Education and Experience

 

Completion of a post secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.

This position is designated Safety-Sensitive, Specified Management, or Designated Executive under the TTC’s Fitness for Duty Policy. If you do not currently hold a designated position, you will be required to pass an alcohol and drug test as part of the certification process
