The role

We’re looking for a full-time Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Londonderry retail location in Edmonton! Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the delivery of an outstanding in-store experience for the customer and store team members, achieving performance objectives including sales goals and running an operationally-sound business by effectively managing the daily operations of the team and the store. A successful Assistant Store Manager is a hardworking, high energy leader who leads the store culture by motivating and encouraging their to deliver on the customer experience in a high energy sales environment. A typical day

You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to efficiently run the day-to-day operations of the store including inventory, cash management, and compliance to in-store brand expectations and operational procedures. You’ll drive operational excellence by managing the staffing levels, onboarding and training new team members, and ensuring all customer-facing technology and merchandising is functional. You’ll lead by example by delivering on your personal performance objectives including sales goals. The rest of your time will be focused on motivating the team members to perform to the best of their abilities in creative and engaging ways, providing them with on-the-spot mentoring and feedback to ensure individual and team success! Other accountabilities include:
• Step into any customer interactions where the team members may need your support, providing guidance towards a successful outcome
• Maintain merchandising and in-store compliance to brand expectations
• Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure appropriate staffing levels and efficient scheduling, managing for daily effective operations to improve store performance
• Empower and inspire team members within in a high energy sales environment
• Make sales and support team members to close sales
• Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Your skills/experience


• Minimum 1-3 years of progressive retail sales experience, preferably in a consumer technology environment
• Leadership experience is preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Superior customer service, interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Exceptional sales skills with the ability to inspire teams to be successful
• Natural, motivational and energetic leader who thrives on the success of the team
• Previous leadership experience is preferred but not required
• Willing to challenge the status quo and ask questions
• Agile, quick problem solver - able to resolve issues quickly and effectively
• Excellent communication skills (presentation, written and verbal) And some other things…
• You may be required to work in other store locations within a 35km radius of your Home Store.
• You must be able to maintain a varied work schedule to support the operational hours of our various retail stores, channels, and regions. This includes evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

• This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and credit background check
• As a condition of employment, all new employees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination with a federally approved COVID-19 vaccine (or proof of a valid exemption)
• You may be required to work in other store locations within a 35km radius of your Home Store.
