Role summary:


This is an entry-level administrative support role contributing to the processing of life, disability and critical illness applications for Creditor products such as personal loans, mortgages and lines of credit.  You will be required to provide accurate, timely delivery and execution of a range of support functions which include mail processing and data entry.  Tasks are completed following general instruction and in adherence with defined internal policies and procedures.  This role requires the ability to work at a rapid pace and have excellent typing skills.


Main accountabilities:

  • Data entry

  • Mail, distribution and counts related to mail

  • May perform other related activities as required

  • Telephone support for incoming calls

  • Calling customers to book tele-underwriting medical interviews

Competencies:

  • Bilingualism (knowledge of English and French, both oral and written)

  • Proficient organizational skills

  • Handle a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong time management

  • Handle a high volume of work within service standard deadlines

  • Initiative in running with requests

  • Excellent typing skills

  • Solid communication skills

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment

  • Business professionalism

  • PC skills (Windows, Excel)

  • Able to work independently and as a team member

  • Hours of work are 8:30am to 4:30 pm

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
