The role

Shaw Direct, Major Accounts - Satellite is looking for a Major Accounts Satellite, Support to join our team! This position reports directly into the Supervisor, Satellite Major Account Sales Operations. The successful candidate will be accountable for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, owners, managers, and Major Account Representatives throughout Canada!

A typical day


• Answer incoming calls for customer service and technical support for building owners, residents and installation teams through personal contact and outstanding customer service.
• Monitor and respond to e-mail requests from field case management (FCM).
• Facilitate system activations for new bulk accounts
• Provide sales and technical support to Major Account Sales Reps to support in the implementation of their sales
• Critical issues that require technical and billing challenges, follow-ups required
• Promote sales add-ons, such as programming and incremental equipment
• Project work for high profile customers
• Promote and represent Shaw in a positive and professional manner Various other duties as needed

Your skills/experience


• Degree/diploma in technical support complemented by 3 – 5 years related experience
• Must be bilingual in English and French
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will also be considered
• Solid understanding of the telecommunications industry is an asset
• Microsoft Office Skills big asset (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• CBS skills is an asset
• Strong technical, organization and time management skills
• Proven understanding of the Satellite industry is considered an asset
• Positive demeanour, self-motivator, results oriented with the ability to cultivate positive relationships
• Ability to work independently under minimal direction in a fast paced constantly evolving environment
• Phenomenal teammate with excellent communication skills both written and verbal (French/English mandatory Bilingual)
• A positive, “can-do” demeanour and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with ambitious situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity

Other details


• Fluency in English and French is required for this role.
• This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and credit background check
• As a condition of employment, all new employees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination with a federally approved COVID-19 vaccine (or proof of a valid exemption)
