Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Unsecured Lending in Canada and is responsible for supporting the strategic business direction of various unsecured lending products. This product management position contributes to the profitability and revenue growth of the consumer portfolio through supporting the development and maintenance of consumer lending products and initiatives that maximize market share and growth opportunities. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.


Accountabilities 

•    Grow the portfolio by working with internal partners to support the development and implementation of product marketing strategies & objectives 

•    Improve the customer experience by supporting the evaluation of omni-channel journeys (e.g. digital and branch) and driving product distribution enhancements

•    Drive new product innovation by assessing financial feasibility, supporting the development of strategic proposals and investigating potential partnerships aligned with Bank objectives

•    Producing ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports/dashboards for leadership that include key measures that are meaningful and accurate 

•    Ensuring up to date information is available to field staff and other users through all publication channels (circulars, manuals, job aids, the resource centre, pricing guides, marketing material)

•    Developing and maintaining a full understanding of the competitive landscape and competitor products, pricing and delivery channels

•    Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

•    Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education And Other Requirements 

•    0-2 years of professional experience, lending and banking industry experience is an asset
•    Experience and competency with P&L analysis, building presentations, project plans and dashboards  
•    Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
