Job Description:

The Lumino Health Web team is looking for a Business Systems Consultant to join their team. The successful candidate will have solid business analysis skills, a strong technical aptitude, and leadership skills to create great user stories that enable exceptional solutions. The candidate will be joining an agile team whose mission is to improve the user experience for the Lumino Health platform. You will be supporting the vision of helping Canadians live healthier lives, by supporting the creation of one of the largest network of health resources in Canada – Lumino Health.

What will you do?

• Work closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and agile team members to create high quality user stories, documentation and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with business partners, vendors, leaders, application development and testing teams to provide input to ensure the solutions meet the needs and expectations of our business partners and clients.

• Create documentation which is clear, understandable, audience appropriate and accurately captures the key information required to understand our solutions
• Communicate with our business partners in an effective and timely manner
• Coordinate or participate refinement sessions with all team members and collaborate with business for review
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the BSA practice.
• Stay current with trends in web technologies and how they could apply to Sun Life

What you need to succeed:

• College or university degree in Business, Computer Sciences, Math or other relevant discipline
• + 6 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst role
• + 2 years of experience working within an Agile team
• Computer skills: JIRA, SharePoint, MS Office

Preferred skills

• Prior exposure to web applications and their development lifecycle is preferred
• Great analytical skills; able to assess alternatives, risks, and benefits; attention to detail
• Ability to produce quality artifacts and meet agreed upon delivery dates; Writes logically and concisely, applies plain language principles, proper grammar and sentence structure;

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
