Position Summary...

Reporting to Director, Price Activation, this role is aligned to one of the merchandising business units and is a key member of the Merchant matrix team. This role is responsible for direct weekly support of pricing decision making and price management working alongside the merchants as the subject matter expert to ensure ongoing achievement of price gap goals and other strategic pricing metrics.

What you'll do...

• Act as the prescription drug pricing subject matter expert; monitor and evaluate relevant industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the pharmacy benefits industry, including retail and payor networks (e.g., PPNs). Ensure compliance with government and third-party payor agreements as it relates to pricing.
• Develop new pricing strategies to support Walmart’s growth in Pharmacy (RX) aligned to Walmart’s overall value proposition for patients, overall business goals and long terms objectives. Create supporting business cases; scope market opportunities accounting for sector and regional regulation requirements as well as customer life-cycle implications (i.e. Acute and chronic indications). Communicate strategy in easy-to-understand format, lay out options with qualitative and quantitative factors.
• Analyzes sales trends and store compliance metrics; provides recommendations for opportunities, to optimize margin and sales. Develops and delivers regular market intelligence updates and dashboards that identifies significant changes, opportunities, and mitigating recommendations.
• Collaborate with the Pharmacy Central Maintenance Manager to test and implement new pricing enhancements. Operate with speed and agility to ‘test and learn’ to refine sector- and region-specific strategies in our Pharmacy (RX) products and services
• Design & leverage dashboard tools used to effectively communicate program performance and drive program-compliance with our field operations partners. Respond to stores on pricing related issues and inquiries
• Support the creation, tracking, and re-forecasting of the annual sales budget with Merch, Ops and Finance teams.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as required to support Walmart Pharmacy
