Sheridan is looking for outstanding individuals to join our course development team in the School of Applied Health’s newest programs, Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs. We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares expertise in the industry to build and enhance the program. The School of Applied Health invites applications for developing one of the following courses:

  • Process Validation in Research – Clinical Research Program
  • Legal Matters – Regulatory Affairs Program


Reporting to the Associate Dean, this remote position will provide successful candidates with an exciting and dynamic opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to the advancement of the School of Applied Health. The successful candidate will mostly work independently to design course content by utilizing their experiences and education to ensure high-standard course development, which aligns directly with the Program Learning Outcomes.  

Sheridan employees are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.


What You’ll be Doing

  • Developing course specific curriculum that align with the Program Learning Outcomes and course specific learning outcomes; 
  • Designing the course content within each module and related evaluative content and rubrics based on approved course evaluation matrix;
  • Providing revision support based on committee feedback received;
  • Utilizing advanced and innovative learning analytical tools to enhance the quality and delivery of course content;
  • Attending team update meetings with the Centre for Teaching and Learning.

The successful candidate will also meet the following qualifications: 

  • The preferred applicants will have extensive knowledge and experience related to the respective program.  Practical/professional experience would be beneficial. 
  • Experience with universal and accessible design is an asset. 
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level is an asset.
  • Previous technological experience with VR technology or willingness to integrate VR into course design.
  • Network of contacts with other professionals in the Healthcare industry is an asset.

Hourly Rate: $34.00 + 4% in lieu of benefits and vacation
Hours/Week: 7
Hours: Flexible; Monday 8-10am, Wednesday 3-6pm, Friday 8-10am.
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: September 5, 2022
