POSITION SUMMARY:

($108,980.00 to $128,212.00 annually)

Reporting to the Associate Vice President - Strategic Business Operations and Performance, the Director, Organizational Performance leads the development and monitoring of organizational performance metrics derived from the Service Plan and Corporate Plan, identifies gaps and/or opportunities, and initiates the action plan to drive the desired business outcomes. He/She/They are responsible for developing programs that drive key strategic initiatives within BC Housing and between BC Housing and external stakeholders, ensuring that these initiatives are properly measured, managed tracked, and reported on. As a key business partner, the Director works in collaboration with his/her/their colleagues from across the organization in solving complex challenges, contributing to the development of strategies and analytics, and crafting and/or monitoring the key performance indicators (KPIs) that deliver insights into operational functionality and capacity to deliver our mandate. The Director serves as a key contributor to the highest levels of decision-making, supporting strategic initiatives and drawing upon the key findings from performance analytics to improve overall operational effectiveness.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidate will have the following:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience within financial services or public sector industries.
  • Considerable experience applying frameworks in equity, diversity, inclusion, and human rights; incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities, in the consideration of impacts and outcomes of a decision-making process through advanced equity analysis; and leading business strategy, project management, advanced analytics, and operationalizing new initiatives.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the Employer.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of departmental policies and procedures and the BC Housing’s mandate and programs
  • Sound knowledge of best practices in advancing strategy and policy in support of marginalized communities with high functioning cultural competency.
  • Demonstrates agility by proactively and continuously seeking out better ways to operate, faster, quicker and more intelligently.
  • Demonstrated strong professional and interpersonal communication skills across a range of channels (written, oral, other) and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional groups to achieve common goals
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and share the feelings of another and provide effective feedback.
  • Ability to meet pressing deadlines and willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to construct reports and presentations to ensure clear and effective communications employing best practices in formatting and design.
  • Ability to establish a high level of rapport with staff, management/senior management, Executive, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced social equity analysis
  • Ability to apply a high level of self-awareness, empathy and emotional intelligence
