Job Description:

The Disability Payment Administrator is responsible for providing a high level of service, which includes key accountabilities that require strong commitment to quality and service that is highly valued by our clients. 

What will you do? 

  • Process Plan Member Update Forms and extend Disability benefits 

  • Help clients through the Canada Pension Plan / Quebec Pension Plan Application process

  • Follow up with clients for part time earnings

  • Prepare and close LTD files that reach expiry

  • Review and update Power of Attorney/Authorization information

  • Address and EFT changes

  • Investigate returned mail

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls

  • Create an environment that promotes team member accountability and autonomy

  • Represent Sun Life professionally, internally and externally, and work well with partners and clients

  • Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvements

  • Bilingual (English/French) both verbal and written required

  • Stellar customer service skills that puts the client first 

  • Demonstrate active listening skills towards our Plan Members and Plan Sponsors 

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills 

  • Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal

  • Thrive in a fast paced, high-volume production environment

  • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate sound judgement

Assets: 

  • Client service experience 

  • Knowledge of CPP/QPP 

  • Knowledge of Group Benefits

  • Knowledge of Ultera & CHESS

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
