Your Opportunity

We are actively seeking for Mechanical Engineering summer student to join our growing team in Fredericton, NB office for a 4 month term, commencing in May 2022, and ending in August 2022. For Co-op work terms please apply to this posting and provide required dates.

Your Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineering summer student will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Assisting engineering staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling and evaluating project data, preparing reports and performing engineering-related calculations and analyses.
• Working with technical staff to develop 2D drawings and 3D dimensional models under direction of senior staff.
• Participating in site visits, when required.
• Assisting in project administration including formatting and compiling reports, gathering information, managing data files, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and work in a team environment.
• Be proactive and self-initiative.
• Be fast learner, with the ability to adapt.
• Have previous experience (preferred).
• Basic experience with CAD tools, 3D modeling software packages and FEA analysis software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs.

Education and Experience

In progress toward earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate coursework related to the specific engineering discipline.
