Job Summary


The successful candidate will report to the Manager Energy Management, in the Energy Management and Facilities Maintenance section of the Facilities and Property Management (FPM) division and will be responsible for the facilities maintenance management system (Infor): system set up, assets inventory data, planned maintenance schedule, reports creation  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to Manager Energy Management and works closely with all staff within Facilities & Property Management division
  • Responsible for supporting, operating and maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Infor) 
  • Provide training to staff on how to use the system, perform troubleshooting and testing processes for upgrades/patches, propose innovative solutions to enhance business processes efficiency
  • Acquire, manage and document information on city assets which fall within the maintenance responsibility of FPM
  • Check accuracy of the inventory, conduct asset/inventory updates,  
  • Enter data to core system databases, ensuring accuracy and quality of data and logical organization of information 
  • Provide reports and status updates based on information available in the core system databases
  • Check accuracy of inventory information as required, by visiting sites and reviewing information
  • Provide information and support for the Development Charges Working Committee and Bylaw as required
  • Other duties as assigned 
     

Skills and Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in Facilities Management, Engineering, Asset Management or Architecture, with 3-5 years related experience or suitable equivalent
  • Familiarity with Infor software would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of building systems including: structures, HVAC and electrical components, elevating devices, plumbing systems, life safety systems, interior architectural finishes and exterior facility features such as: u/g services, utilities, driveway and parking lot structure, lighting and maintenance practices
  • Experience in developing and maintaining inventories of building systems. Demonstrated ability to identify strategic issues, analyze and recommend long term solutions. Must have effective interpersonal communication skills and be committed to working in a team-based environment with a focus on continuous improvement and quality customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to change
  • Exposure to an enterprise application preferably in the CRM or asset management space
  • Familiarity with environmental principals would be an asset
  • Experience working with costing tables and developing cost estimates would be an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required 
     

Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 39.61 - $ 52.81
