Your Opportunity

Our office in Edmonton is seeking a highly motivated Field Coordinator to become part of our dynamic team, focused on Community Development residential construction.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently as well as manage the work of survey assistants.
  • Review and interpret engineering design drawings.
  • Coordination of site; work with supervisors, contractors, utility agencies, sub consultants (geotechnical, electrical) clients and Municipal representatives.
  • Construction coordination and monitoring (earthworks, underground installations, roads, shallow utility, parking lots, SWMF, special infrastructure, etc)
  • Coordination of survey for site grading, storm and sanitary sewers, watermains, lot services and roadway construction layout
  • Perform construction surveys using GNSS (GPS), electronic total station, and conventional survey equipment
  • Assist with field schedule development, project tracking and staff accountability, project CCC and FAC documentation accuracy and timeliness, as well as engineering CCC/FAC team coordination to ensure consistency of records.
  • Work with Project Team on project budgets ensuring your team is mindful and aware of the project budget and communicate regularly with Team Lead and PM on financial implications.
  • Champion team worksite safety including training, scheduling and record keeping

  • You possess technical and mathematical skills along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record (will be required to arrange transportation to the work site).
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
  • Safety footwear & appropriate clothing is a requirement. Stantec will provide safety vests, hard hats & and additional safety equipment required.

Education and Experience

  • The right candidate will also hold a 2-year technical accreditation in an engineering program from a recognized educational institution.
  • Proven experience, with a minimum of 5-8 years of building relationships with clients, business leaders and team members
