Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Exposure and Capital Analytics / Global Risk Management globally, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

What you'll do in this role?

•    Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

•    Provides support and assistance with focus on IFRS 9 SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) development, control and maintenance relevant to Business Banking. Ensures IFRS 9 policy, procedures and governance framework are in place and adhered to for SOX compliance

•    Works closely with key stakeholders in developing the IFRS 9 end-to-end process, which includes project planning, data reconciliation, model implementation, control process, governance and reporting 

•    Provides support in preparing IFRS 9 results to senior management and to the relevant business units. As well as providing analytics on the underlying data

•    Applies specialized knowledge of Expected credit loss methodology as per IFRS 9, in ECL control and governance. Assists the internal and external ECL reporting and disclosure.

•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

 

What we're looking for?

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven problem solving skills.
•    Good organizational and analytical skills.
•    Understanding in VBA, SQL Server and /or SAS. 
•    Python and Power BI knowledge is preferred but not mandatory
•    Comfort and experience working in a project context and juggling multiple competing priorities
•    Critical thinking skills and ability to work under tight timelines.
•    Bachelor / Master in accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics.
•    Professional qualification such as CPA / CMA/ CGA / CFA is an added advantage.
