Product Manager, Collaboration

 

The Product Manager will be part of the Collaboration Product Management team within Rogers for Business, and will be responsible for the development, customer experience and introduction of products into the online Rogers Business Application Marketplace.  The role includes leveraging the AppDirect environment, integrating Software-as-a-Service products from numerous vendors with focus on optimizing the Sales and Customer Experience for all supported products. Leverage existing knowledge and experience to help define, implement and successfully launch new business products.  The successful candidate will understand the relationship between development and overall customer experience during the product life cycle. 

 

What you will be doing:

Product Management

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, and external suppliers/partners and other cross-functional groups to lead key Collaboration initiatives through the product development and life-cycle process
  • Define how the product works for the customer – creating service definitions, feature matrix, user stories and use cases.
  • Assist in business case development for products by determining capital and operational costs
  • Actively manage product scope, balance alternatives, understand the impact different alternatives have on feasibility, make and drive recommendations.
  • Understand the cloud and collaboration ecosystem, markets, competition to ideate product differentiation and cross-product solutions for Rogers competitive advantage
  • Participate in risk management, mitigation strategies and resolving cross-functional issues.
  • Conduct analysis, to support financial management and forecasting
  • Manage, negotiate, and collaborate with external partners/suppliers to ensure we offer the best-in-class customer experience for products and solutions.

Operational Readiness

  • Ensure sales, marketing, operations, and other cross functional teams clearly understand our products, their value proposition for customers and processes by simplifying complex content and communicate with clarity based on your audience.
  • Develop sales training materials, including product decks, battle cards, etc. Provide or oversee product training for the sales force. Provide or oversee technical training for the Technical Support team. Ensure customer-billing systems are in place to support the solution.
  • Assist to define and support operational processes from quote to cash.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by interactions with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute towards roadmap development or evolution of the product. Stay informed of the latest market, customer and technology trends to adapt/evolve the solution accordingly. Gain strategic alignment with other Rogers’s teams working on similar/complementary solutions.
     

What you bring:

  • University degree, BSC, BA or equivalent, relevant fields of study include Business, Computer Science and Engineering.  Minimum three [3] years of related work experience in Product Development, Product Management or Technology Development. Familiarity with Digital Transformation models, eCommerce ecosystem, Software as a Service is considered mandatory, experience in Unified Communications, Microsoft365 applications and delivery models preferred
  • Technical aptitude and problem solving: able to quickly grasp new concepts, terms, technologies, product and processes
  • Highly enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic who can work well with and lead cross-functional teams
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask, conscientious and aware of deliverable dates and timelines, able to receive an assignment and follow-through with a high quality output
  • Excellent ability to communicate business and technical concepts, both written and oral
