SUMMARY

An opportunity to ensure the end-to-end delivery of construction projects, on time and on budget, while meeting corporate and client expectations

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of project sub-components and non-technical projects.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

For the assigned non-technical projects and project sub-components:

  • Supports the delivery of projects through effective coordination and delivery of assigned sub components within overall projects.
  • Delivers non-technical projects (i.e. furniture installation, furniture reconfiguration, office space construction, office painting and re-carpeting, etc.).
  • Researches and liaises with vendors to obtain quotes.  Provides recommendation on preferred vendor.
  • Creates cost estimates for assigned non-technical projects.
  • Determines and prepares resource requirements.
  • Creates schedules and monitors progress against timelines.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with vendors.  Monitors work progress to ensure completion.
  • Ensures assigned project sub-components and non-technical projects are delivered on-time, within scope, budget and requirements, and complies with all regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients.
  • Responsible for resolving issues, managing client expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Project Administration

  • May perform project administration duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • College diploma or equivalent training (e.g. RPA, CET)
  • 1 to 3 years of project coordination work experience; or 3 to 5 years of project administration work experience
  • Ability to deliver non-technical projects and to coordinate the delivery of project subcomponents
  • Ability to prepare accurate costs estimates, project schedules and determine appropriate resource requirements
  • Ability to influence and persuade others to ensure timely project completion
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others for the purpose of providing feedback, conveying information, data exchange, clarification and follow up
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications in particular – MS Project, MS Excel, MS Outlook, along with ability to quickly learn new applications

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Demonstrates an interest in pursuing Project Management Institute Accreditation
