Job Summary

As part of the Canada Reserving team within Finance & Actuarial, you will be responsible for partnering with business leadership on reserving matters including syndicating quarterly results and identifying trends within the portfolios. The Reserving team leads the quarterly Reserve Committee, and this role will be instrumental in recommending and communicating quarterly reserve changes. Additionally, the Canada Reserving team collaborates with the Line of Business Reserving Team to complete quarterly reserve reviews, monthly financial close, the Appointed Actuary’s report as well as the Financial Condition Report.

Job Qualifications

Required:
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree

OR
• Bachelors Degree

AND
• 5 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus FCAS or equivalent international certification

OR
• 10 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus ACAS or equivalent international certification

Preferred:
• Experience in multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management) and knowledge/skills reflective of a senior practitioner
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
