We are now recruiting for a Security Administrator (Analyst) to join our Information Security team. The role will be working hybrid from our head office in Burnaby, BC. Apply this week if you would like to take on this role.

Key Ways This Position Makes An Impact

The Security Administrator (Analyst) is responsible for ensuring the safety of information systems assets by monitoring, administrating, evaluating and maintaining security policies, procedures and technical controls on a wide variety of information systems, including confidential environments. This is to protect Pacific Blue Cross against security threats and to minimize risks to the information assets.

In this role, you use your experience to monitor SIEM, Cloud Security Logs, Web filtering, Anti-malware, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, WiFi Detection, Vulnerability Scanning equipment and investigate resulting alarms. You have the ability to configure or to learn to configure policies on the SIEM.

In this role, you would perform audits and document security assessments (STRA) against security best practices, assist in creation of security policies and standards, maintain documentation on practices and processes, work on incident handling and investigations, and developing a security awareness through Pacific Blue Cross.

Key Experiences You Bring To This Role

  • Minimum three year previous related experience in a variety of information security responsibilities outlined above
  • Experience in security technologies such as SIME, IDS/IPS, Web content filtering, Mobile Device Management, Anti-malware protection, Vulnerability assessment tools, OWASP top 10
  • Prefer experience using Cloud monitoring tools and creating project security and risk assessment documentation
