Do you want to develop your collaboration, analytical and communication skills and obtain a deeper knowledge of Downstream’s refining operations?

You will use your expertise to:

  • Manage the overall program of Business Support Optimization (BSO)/Transformation Management Office (TMO) driven initiatives impacting Refining and Logistics, including interfacing with project teams and site leads to develop and maintain an integrated roadmap, outlining schedule, resource requirements and intersection with business lead initiatives or major activities
  • Analyze roadmap data to identify capacity and schedule constraints and develop recommendations to prioritize initiatives and close gaps
  • Compile progress updates on BSO/TMO initiatives for site leads and sr. leaders to support decision making
  • Work directly with BSO/TMO project teams and refinery leads to support implementation of initiatives as required
  • Support leader with monthly portfolio integration meetings, coordination, facilitation, and preparation of meeting material
  • Compile / develop and maintain standard stewardship reporting for sr. leadership team to report on key indicators, operational & safety performance, goal progression etc. to ensure meeting effectiveness and support decision making
  • Support ad hoc requests for reporting and analysis as required

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Business Analyst experience with demonstrated ability to analyze, organize and draw insights, trends, and patterns from large disparate data sources
  • A university degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, gather critical information and meet deadlines

Preference for:

  • Experience using project management processes and tools
  • Downstream business knowledge

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our head office in Calgary, Suncor Energy Center, 150th – 6th Ave SW
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • Relocation support will be provided
