This position reports to the Director, US Tax Operations.

Your main responsibilities:
  •  Interact and support different sectors of the Bank in order to offer them advanced technical support in their American operations
  • Perform related quality checks surrounding US government reportable data
  • Perform quality control of the new business rules implemented by our service provider and ensure the compliance of the US tax slips to be produced
  •  Participate in the preparation and issuance of US tax slips for all our business partners
  • Perform the annual reconciliation of US source income declared to the US government (IRS)
  • Perform various analyzes to validate information and identify problems proactively
  • Compile, produce and analyze various reports and statistics to ensure decision-making
  • Participate in the analysis of the various requests received, identify potential problems related to operations and propose solutions or new procedures to improve the efficiency of the service
  • Collaborate in the analysis of systems or processes related to the reporting of US tax slips
  • Bachelor's degree related to the sector of activity and five years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the sector of activity and three years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of securities
  • Experience in operations and tax implications related to market events, a serious asset
  • Knowledge of US tax rules, a serious asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Good management of time, priorities and ability to work under pressure
  • Analytical, structured and methodical mind
  • Autonomy, initiative and ability to work in solution mode
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) French and English, essential
