We are seeking a motivated, customer oriented support specialist to support the adoption of Microsoft M365 tools and capabilities. The candidate should have a strong focus on solutioning in the M365 space and assisting the adoption of new technologies and managing engagement through our community groups.

We are on a digital transformation journey and providing a rich and empowering digital experience for our user community is key to being successful.  The Digital Experience and Communications platform contains a significant Microsoft M365 component, and effective administration and support of this platform is a foundation of the platform success.  As the digital workplace strategy evolves, this role will broaden to support the Digital Workplace. 

You will use your expertise to:

  • Work within a platform team using Agile, DevOps principles to support the Microsoft 365 customer base in the effective use of tools and applications 
  • Track the road-map for the Microsoft 365 product space and pro-actively engage with the platform customers to support adoption and change 
  • Work with the Platform Owner and Architecture Owner to understand the Microsoft 365 road-map 
  • Work with our internal partners, for example cyber and legal teams within Suncor, to delivery safe and reliable platform services 
  • Engage with vendors as required (particularly Microsoft) to support to best user experience within Suncor and manage costs 
  • Act as the voice of the customer for platform technical solutioning 
  • Facilitate training and workshops 
  • Gathering feedback to support platform service and success measurement

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • At least 6 years experience providing customer engagement and support with Microsoft products 
  • A University degree
  • At least 2 years experience supporting M365/O365 in an enterprise environment 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Experience with organizational change management

Preference for:

  • License administration and vendor engagement  
  • Working with other teams  
  • Willing and to continually update personal IT skills and knowledge 

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
