Purpose

 

Responsible for the holistic view of select Enterprise Supplier relationships across multiple Business Lines/ geographic locations.  This role will be responsible for working across key supplier relationships and to provide insights to drive and inform the collective strategies, innovation agenda and performance measurement/ improvements. The successful candidate will be able to work across senior levels of the organization (both internal and external), articulate and execute on strategy, drive value creation and deliver against third party management policies, standards and procedures

 

 

Accountabilities

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Proactively work with the Business Line VMOs and contract owners to understand business needs, business strategy, and pipeline of contract renewals to build an overall supplier contract strategy (consolidate and reduce contracts where opportunity exists)
• Consolidate information around performance and renewals and support Category Sourcing leads to inform category sourcing and supplier strategies
• Develop Top-to-Top Enterprise Supplier Meeting facilitation materials and conduct Top-to-Top Supplier Meetings for enterprise suppliers
• Act as the issues/incident escalation point for the supplier that may have an enterprise wide impact or not resolved at the business level
• Lead identification of value creation or supplier savings opportunities with Strategic Category Sourcing lead, Business Line VMO and contract owners
• Work directly with Supplier Executive Owner to inform on performance and creating of an enterprise product/service roadmap
• Lead the supplier relationship team that will consist of various stakeholders (VMO, Contract Owners, Strategic Sourcing/ Category Lead and Executive Owner)
• Facilitate supplier issue resolution for escalated matters, engaging the key stakeholders
• Facilitate development of supplier strategies by providing consolidated information to Strategic Sourcing/ Category Lead 
• Maintain strong relationships with Business Line VMOs and account executives to enable enterprise views of Vendor and drive vendor strategies
• Ensure strong third party management practices are in place and aligned to enterprise model
• Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
• Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates team members by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

•Able to manage highly complex and critical Suppliers, including: cross-business lines, cross-geography, and maintain parent-child relationships

•Able to define key supplier metrics to drive supplier behaviour aligned to the bank’s and business objectives
•Able to manage conflicts and issues resolution on escalation matters
•Understanding and alignment with Business Line VMOs, Strategic Sourcing, and the GPS EVMO/VMO Program Support team

 

 

Education/Experience:

 

•5-7 years’ experience in Supplier relationship management and performance preferred
•Team leadership / people management
•University degree and postgraduate qualifications, or equivalent combination of education and Supplier management experience
•Strong financial acumen 
•Demonstrated ability to build sustainable, transparent relationships / partnerships 
•Extensive experience managing and coordinating internal and external stakeholder groups for proven service delivery.
•Strategic Thinker / Thought Leader
•Performance driven
•Vendor management – SLAs, performance consolidation, supplier development etc.
