SUMMARY

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is a highly motivated professional with proven success in meeting the high demands of our growing business in sourcing and attraction of senior level talent across all areas of the Canadian business. They will play a critical role in ensuring BGIS hires the best possible senior level candidates by understanding business needs, developing/executing appropriate recruitment strategies and reporting on performance metrics.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support senior level recruitment across BGIS nationally by:

  • Ensuring postings are attracting strong applicants; resumes are being sourced through various recruitment channels.
  • Sourcing candidates using a variety of outlets, such as job postings and social media, while effectively targeting the right kinds of candidates for the job.
  • Working very closely with senior hiring managers to ensure that they adequately understand the needs of the manager and the requirements and expectations of the job.
  • Soliciting resumes from senior qualified candidates; directly sourcing of passive candidates and creating an efficient talent pipeline; meeting with business leaders to implement and present recruitment strategy for key hires; screening resumes and applications for suitability; making hiring recommendations based upon the eligibility criteria provided.
  • Increasing the BGIS brand to reach a broader and wider market of candidates; Find new, innovating and creative ways to highlight BGIS an appealing and desirable company to work for, with a focus outside of our immediate industry.
  • Maintaining and creating an in-depth talent bench of senior candidates with relevant industry experience.
  • Maintaining current industry best practice knowledge and trends and share with team internally.
  • Executing pre-screening and/or final phone/face to face interviews for senior level posts & supports all parties in concern with assessment.
  • Providing in-depth knowledge of the industry to hiring managers.
  • Supporting HRBPs (Human Resources Business Partners) with weekly update on recruitment progress.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with demonstrated experience that typically comes with 5-10 years exposure in progressive roles with a proven track record of success
  • Broad knowledge of current and leading edge recruitment trends and methodologies and exposure in full-cycle recruiting
  • Knowledge of Provincial and Federal Employment Equity legislation.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with comfort and ability to work and/or present to senior leaders
  • Computer literacy, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications and experience with Applicant Tracking tools (ideally, Taleo ATS).
  • Exceptional work ethic, energetic, with strong values and principles
  • Solid player but able to work well independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and accommodating and able to go above and beyond the basic expectations when required.
  • Detail oriented
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Absolute commitment to customer services and confidentiality.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • CHRP would be considered an asset
