Responsible for assisting in the instruction of the Recreation Division Sports Programs and conducting a high energy program that meets the program outlines and HIGH FIVE® principles. Instructors provide assistance in the teaching of each sport as well as working with volunteers and show aptitude for teaching and understand the different approached required to teach different ages (preschool vs. adult participants).

Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible to assist in the delivery and operations of a comprehensive recreation program, as developed by Recreation Division to meet the needs of all participants and to ensure adequate safety while facilitating leisure activities.
Hourly Rate/Salary: $16.33 - $23.18 ($16.61 - $23.59 as of April 1, 2022)
Hours of Work: up to 24 hours per week

This position has been deemed to require full vaccination as per the Peel Medical Officer of Health who has required this pursuant to a regulation under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020. This is to mitigate the elevated risk of COVID-19 transmission in organized sports/recreation. Proof of Fully Vaccinated Confirmation or a City approved medical exemption will be required your before first day.
