Summer Intern, Innovation

 

Explore, Create, Ideate, Disrupt, Transform…As an Innovation Intern, you'll have a unique opportunity to be involved in enabling the art of the possible by collaborating and assisting the team on various innovation initiatives for external and internal clients.

Start date: May 2022

End date: August 2022

Location: Remote, with occasional opportunity to work in the BGIS Innovation Centre (Markham) or CIBC office (CIBC Square, Toronto)

 

Who are you?

  • Curious, with a knack for challenging the status quo and passion for continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications, such as Database tools, Snowflake, MS office tools, PowerBI and others.
  • Currently working towards College or University degree in Computer Science, Data & Analytics, Engineering, Information Management, or other relevant fields
  • Highly analytical and understand the basic principles of working with complex data set
  • Able to leverage insights and opportunities from data and metrics to build strategies and make recommendations.
  • Ability to work with a team towards common goals
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working with and presenting to all management levels and client.
  • Excellent written and oral communication including ability to communicate with users with various technical backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work well under pressure
