Reporting to the Director of HR for the Canada operations, the Talent Acquisition Lead is responsible to lead the Canadian Talent Acquisition strategy and team with ownership of setting a compelling recruiting strategy and efficient operating model across all business lines. The role is responsible for the full recruitment life cycle and will ensure the function has the right capabilities to enable an optimized candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Lead is influential at the Senior Management level with the ability to implement tactically at the ground level participating in active sourcing of candidates. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of current and emerging trends in talent acquisition with a reputation for producing exceptional results by hiring the best, diverse talent.

Day to Day and Strategic Activities Include:
• Partners with HR Operation leaders to identify workforce needs, hot skill areas and capabilities required to strengthen the organization and prepare for future needs.
• Builds solid relationships with hiring managers to engage in the hiring process.
• Screens resumes, coordinates interviews and may perform in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
• Manages, motivates and develops a talent acquisition team of Recruiters & Technician.
• Leads the strategic direction of recruiting in alignment with long-term business and workforce plans, factoring in market challenges and risks.
• Assesses and improves the talent acquisition operating model to ensure an exceptional candidate experience and meet internal client needs.
• Continuously evaluates processes and utilizes sound metrics to drive improvement, thinking beyond the status quo, questioning how things might be different, and develops creative ideas for alternatives.
• Contributes recommendations for effective talent acquisition processes and workflows that strengthen the company’s ability to quickly and effectively attract, assess, select, hire and onboard talent.
• Establishes sourcing and recruiting research strategies to create a viable, sustainable pipeline of exceptional, diverse talent.
• Educates stakeholders and promotes Talent Acquisition policies.
• Ensures legal compliance with regard to all talent acquisition initiatives and provincial employment standards legislations.
• Develops and maintains relationships with Hiring Managers, HR Advisory team and Key Stakeholders including Shared Services Team who support Talent Acquisition processes and key HR Operations team members.
• Manages the overall strategy for the annual campus hiring campaigns.
• Sits on advisory team for Fluor’s Global University Sponsorship program and various Diversity, Equity and Inclusion teams.
