Day in the Life:

The Senior Manager, People Experience (PX) will support The Bay Corporate team.  This role will be responsible for serving the assigned business groups needs through: organization design, learning and development, talent acquisition, associate relations, talent management, change management and compensation. The successful candidate will also serve as a forward-thinking leader, change driven, multi-tasker who is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing key PX initiatives that will substantially enhance the engagement of our teams and the success of our business.

The Senior Manager, PX will demonstrate sound moral character and judgment: decisions come from a fact-based and informed position. They will possess outstanding skills of influence and diplomacy and shall be challenging, provocative, courageous and inspiring. Key to success in this role is an eye for innovation, with a fast paced, adaptable and nimble approach while leading a team of other PX team members.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Guide business leaders through organizational development and change management initiatives
  • Partner with the Business and Talent Acquisition team for critical positions and support overall staffing plans
  • Build relationships with associates at all levels; assure that new team members integrate effectively into the organization
  • Facilitate opportunities for learning and development initiatives; facilitates organization-specific training sessions
  • Lead the talent review process to ensure leaders are setting goals, reviewing and developing talent. 
  • Play a key role in the execution of the DEI strategy across the organization
  • Leverage the internal PX Service Group to assist with Administrative functions
  • Partner with leaders to resolve employee relation issues; provide coaching and counseling to leaders and teams
  • Support leaders to provide connection and community through effective communication and engagement activities
  • Work with the HRIS data to assist in decisions and future planning
  • Fostering a culture that supports Associates in making healthy lifestyle choices and providing a safe environment

 

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years of PX / HR experience in a tech, retail, or brand-focused environment. 
  • Previous PX/HR management experience (employee relations, compensation, training and development, coaching/counseling, change management, talent acquisition).
  • Verifiable track record of success partnering with and influencing senior leaders, serving as a credible and trusted resource.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking: able to envision, distill, communicate, develop and implement short and long-term PX/HR initiatives.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective in dealing with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated business acumen: intellectually curious about organizational systems and structures and informed about emerging industry trends.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; demonstrated influence and diplomacy at all levels.
  • Self directed with a passion for delivering results in a fast paced environment.
  • Technologically astute with strong computer proficiency: Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint web browsers and tools.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements.
