The OXO Fuel team is looking for a Business Administrator to join our team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a team player, have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. They will also possess the ability to work effectively under pressure, within short time constraints, prioritize while multi-tasking, deal with ambiguity and have an aptitude to work independently without significant oversight or instruction, to achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Previous Microsoft experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide team support (including some headcount management and budget items, morale events, and alias management) for our engineers and program managers in Vancouver, BC
  • Partner with US Business Administrators to manage new employee setup, and procurement of goods and services including computer equipment, office supplies, reference materials and facility requests
  • Assist with morale event planning, catering orders, and hardware refresh requests
  • Management of assets and space planning
  • Assist with various requests throughout the OXO team in Canada

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and basic administration work.
  • Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources [HR], Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training).
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and within short time constraints
  • Able to deal with ambiguity, make independent decisions, be proactive and drive tasks to closure
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete projects on time, demonstrate drive and initiative, maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and react with appropriate urgency to situations and events
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity software including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience with internal applications is a plus: HeadTrax, Employee Central, HR Insights, MyOrder, IDWeb, Informa, etc.
