Job Description:

The Cloud Governance analyst supports Cloud Security, Risk and Governance team Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE)at Sun Life.

This role supports leader and the team on all activities pertaining to cloud risk, security and governance.

What You'll Do:

  • Represent Cloud Centre of Excellence in annual directives review process and collaborate with leaders to integrated leadership feedback
  • Assist Product Owners in Cloud Security, Risk and Governance team with executing related projects
  • Monitor progress of execution and report on the progress
  • Design key reporting and provide monthly, quarterly and annual overview of key indicators for all areas of responsibility
  • Collaborate with engineers and leaders across Cloud Centre of Excellence on execution of planned work
  • Assist with remediation of control deficiencies and security gaps
  • Participate in quarterly planning, and work to minimize risk on key inter team dependencies
  • Review, develop and finalize onboard documentation
  • Develop best practices for in scope items
  • Execute risk mapping matrix
  • Monitor, Assess, and Evaluate cloud governance items ensure controls are functioning appropriately and effectively.
  • Build strong partnerships with technical teams to promote best practices for cloud governance
  • Work in an agile manner
  • Align with team’s mission that includes security advocacy, governance guardrails, requirements identification, and collaboration

Key Requirements:

  • University degree in Technology
  • 3+ years of experience in the cloud technology
  • Large enterprise experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and step up and lead when the situation requires
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and improving process, and developing best practices
  • Experience in coordinating and documenting
  • Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes in Cloud and General IT Environment
  • Understanding of ITIL, CCM and other industry frameworks and standards
  • Knowledge of project management methodology, principles of agile delivery and using JIRA
  • Understanding of Cloud Governance
  • Understanding of key Technology concepts and the risk-based approach to security
  • Experience with Service Now
  • Solid Knowledge of the following Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and well organized
  • Must be willing to learn and certify on the job though career growth and development
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
