Lecturer for NURS4410.03 – Perinatal Nursing across the Childbearing Continuum
Students build upon core curriculum knowledge of the perinatal experience in this 3-credit hour online course. The nature of the childbearing experience is critically analyzed from multiple perspectives, while evidence-informed nursing care for childbearing families with health complexities is appraised. Theory underlining processes of maternal transformation, person-centered care, relational practice and parent-infant attachment overlay these analyses.
This appointment runs from September 1, 2022 until December 31, 2022. The part-time academic instructor reports directly to the Associate Director, Undergraduate Studies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Development of teaching and learning activities related to course-specific topic
• Teach course content
• Assessment and evaluation of student learning
• Use of Brightspace for course delivery
• Responding to student queries about coursework
• Attending initial instruction with Instructional Learning Online services re: Brightspace
• Participation in course discussions within the program
• Develop and administer examinations
• Submission of grades
• Follow up with students as necessary
