The part-time academic instructor will be responsible for teaching NURS4370/5850.03 (Women and Aging) during the Fall term of the academic year 2022-2023.

This interdisciplinary nursing elective explores the issues related to socio-economic factors that are major determinants of the well-being of aging women. Topics include: aging as a process; menopause; violence against older women; older women and housing; self-image and sexuality; health and the aging woman; and older women and poverty.

This 3 credit-hour course will be delivered online asynchronously. 

This appointment runs from September 1, 2022 until December 31, 2022. The part-time academic instructor reports directly to the Associate Director, Undergraduate Studies Academic as well as to the Associate Director, Graduate Studies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Development of teaching and learning activities related to the course
• Delivery and co-ordination of the course
• Assessment and evaluation of student learning
• Use of Brightspace for course delivery
• Responding to student queries about coursework
• Attending initial instruction with Instructional Learning Online services
• Participation in course discussions within the program
• Develop and administer examinations
• Submission of grades
• Follow up with students as necessary
