POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this role is to conduct quality investigations, vehicle evaluations and inspections, and to support administration of special service tools and vehicle diagnostic equipment programs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Conduct quality assurance activities including data collection, data analysis, field investigation and quality reporting.
• Prepare Quality Information Reports (QIR) and submit on GQIS. Collect sample parts from field and forward to appropriate parties.
• Support preparation of Monthly Quality Report (MQR) with Top Quality Issues and Top Warranty Items submitted to HMC and HMNA.
• Conduct new vehicle model evaluations, new vehicle inspections, and manufacturing facility audits.
• Coordinate annual cold-weather evaluation with HMC and NAQC.
• Support administration of the Special Service Tools (SST) and equipment program including new tool and equipment evaluation, distribution to dealer network and invoicing.
• Support administration of the GDS vehicle diagnostic equipment program including vehicle software update testing and preparation of GDS kits for new and existing dealers.
• Provide support for dealer communications and publications including Service Department Bulletins, Technical Service Bulletins, and Recall Notices.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar positions.
• Completion of an undergraduate degree in the field of mechanical or automotive engineering.
• High level of industry-specific (automotive) technical knowledge.
• Knowledge of automotive specialty tools i.e. scan tools, battery testers.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic skills - Experienced in statistical analysis.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• High level of problem solving skills
• Ability to understand, interpret and communicate with data - Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
