A variety of IT internships are available, including in the following sectors: ODISA, IT Delivery – Financial Markets, IT Enterprise Architecture, Commercial Financing, Payments and Cards, and Corporate Data.

Team #1: IT Enterprise Architecture
The IT Strategy, Architecture and Innovation sector supports all the IT delivery towers. Our mission is to break down organizational silos and move towards a model that makes the most of people and maximizes innovation and efficiency.
Do you have a good understanding of IT architecture? Are you innately curious about technology? Do you have a keen interest in innovation?  Do you want to actively contribute to the bank of tomorrow?

Your mission:
•    Analyze the needs of various stakeholders to determine the evolution of the LeanIX enterprise architecture solution
•    Analyze the quality of data imported from source systems and implement corrective measures
•    Configure and develop integrations for the LeanIX solution with other solutions in the Bank ecosystem
•    Support users and document user cases to optimize the use of the LeanIX product
•    Produce informational documents and videos for training and change management purposes

Team #2: IT Analyst
We’re looking for an IT Analyst who is capable of analyzing and understanding a wide variety of situations and conveying their findings to others. Think of this role as being like a juicer—it’s your job to extract what’s essential while leaving the unnecessary stuff aside!
You’re the ideal candidate if you’re passionate about analyzing data and bugs, you enjoy making things clear and simple, you want to help deliver innovative features for the Bank’s clients and you’re willing to learn every day.
You’ll be part of a major Bank program designed to completely rethink client data management. You’ll work with your colleagues to understand the existing processes and define new ones.
You’ll also work on business rules and business cases and perform a variety of analyses. In a nutshell, your role will be to understand and make sure others understand too!
Our day-to-day work revolves around data, so you’ll need to be able to understand and interpret it. Knowledge of data management and governance would also be an asset.

Team #3: ETL Developer
The Bank is currently undergoing a sweeping transformation, placing it at the forefront of technological innovation. 
For National Bank, data is the key to success. More than ever before, banking activities rely on data architecture, which has to be both strong and flexible. We’re constantly on the lookout for new talents to help us develop our solutions. We need dynamic, driven people like you to help shake things up.
You’re the ideal candidate if you’re a polyglot programmer with fluent SQL and Python. You have a thorough understanding of Linux environments and know that clean code has nothing to do with housekeeping. You’re familiar with the service-oriented approach (SOA, REST). You’re interested in DevOps initiatives (tools like Jenkins, Docker and GIT). You take an interest in business intelligence and data science and you’re willing to keep learning every day.
 
Your mission:

•    Help maintain code quality on a daily basis
•    Bring in new perspectives and help your team grow
•    Work to advance development standards, processes and techniques from a DevOps perspective
•    Work in agile mode and innovate

Team #4: Developer
You’re the ideal candidate if you’re a polyglot programmer who is fluent in Javascript, Objective-C, Swift, Java Android and Java backend. You know that clean code has nothing to do with housekeeping. You’re familiar with the service-oriented approach (SOA, REST) and systems integration. You want to help deliver innovative features for the Bank’s clients.

Your mission: 
•    Participate in application architecture and design
•    Ensure code quality and contribute to maintaining it on a daily basis
•    Bring in new perspectives and help your team grow
•    Work to advance development standards, processes and techniques
•    Work in agile mode and innovate

Team #5: Systems Configurator / Developer
ODISA (Operations, Delivery of Infrastructures and Security Assets) handles infrastructure and operations for the IT delivery towers. It’s our role to ensure the continuity and stability of IT operations throughout the Bank in line with security practices and according to appropriate technology and cost targets, using our talents to focus on the user experience.
You’re the ideal candidate if you know the basics of scripting and automation, you’re familiar with PowerShell, C#, Java, Javascript and Python, and you have knowledge of SQL databases and MS Graph (OData query, REST API). You also have strong writing, listening and communication skills, as well as the ability to summarize information and explain complex concepts in plain language. You’re focused on the end-user experience. You’re bilingual in English and French (both spoken and written).

Your mission:
•    Monitor and configure various platforms in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
•    Develop/automate processes and applications using PowerPlatforms and PowerAutomate (Flow) in low-code mode
•    Produce prototypes and rewrite existing applications
•    Help implement governance and the centre of excellence for PowerPlatforms management
•    Participate in initiatives in Microsoft’s Technology Adoption Program (TAP) 
•    Participate in platform improvement and stabilization initiatives (performance, connectivity, etc.)
•    The team works in SAFe Agile mode


Team #6: SRE Developer
SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) is a team of infrastructure, security and app dev experts tasked with investigating issues and devising solutions to major incidents and problems.  We collaborate with all the teams that implement monitoring and automation, helping to design and put in place monitoring and automation needs identified through our investigations.
You’re the ideal candidate if you have experience with processes (especially flow charts and swim lanes), you understand the basics of infrastructure (enterprise computers, the network) and app development, or you have programming experience.
We’re looking for someone curious, eager to learn and interested in solving problems, both big and small.
Your mission:
As a member of the SRE team, you’ll play a central role in IT. You’ll work for the Bank’s units on a daily basis, creating confidence in the systems and applications that our clients use. There are no questions, issues or problems that don’t fall within our area of responsibility.  
We’re the definition of an expert team!

•    Be at least 17 years of age
•    Be a university student at a Canadian institution or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field
•    Be eligible to work in Canada 
•    Have maintained an excellent academic record
•    Be in the midst of your studies and plan to return to school to complete them
•    What we're looking for most of all is drive and commitment!
•    University studies in Information Technology, in progress or completed
•    Great intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
•    Analytical mindset, organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Programming experience
•    Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
