Do you have a tactical and analytical mindset, a love of technology, and experience working in Agile teams? In this role, you will lead, influence, design, develop and sustain modern integration solutions. You will play a key role in the delivery and sustainment of Suncor’s application integration ecosystem, and the integrations that run on top of it. 

You will use your expertise to:

  • Play a key role on a dedicated Agile delivery team delivering integration technology and solutions to Suncor.
  • Deliver both modern integration platforms, and the integrations that run on top of them.
  • Lead application integrators and third parties team members to deliver high quality integration designs, and work plans based on approved architecture, product, configuration, process standards and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with enterprise and solution architecture, project delivery, operational support teams, outsource partners and technology vendors during all phases of the solution design, build and delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure that designs and specifications meet or exceed established business and technical design requirements, quality measures, service levels, and continuous improvement goals
  • Ensure the consistent approach and implementation of processes and technology in technical integration areas
  • Offer mentorship and consultation on leading integration practices, industry standards and conventions, frameworks, and methods

We’d like to review your application if you have…

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years of relevant IT solution design experience for application integration and interfaces for large enterprises
  • Two years of experience with one or more of the following technologies: MuleSoft, Kafka, webMethods, Managed File Transfer tools, API development, MicroSoft integration technologies
  • Experience with network architecture and security
  • Experience with Linux or Unix varieties and Windows OS
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and tools to automate it
  • Experience with Agile methodology, and DevOps practices
  • Experience with interface design and development 
  • Knowledge of common services and integration management for Application Programming Interfaces, data extraction and transformation services
  • Sound technical knowledge of current application integration technologies such as cloud-based architecture, web-based applications, and interfaces development tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with varying sizes of highly focused multicultural and global teams

Preference for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (computer science, IT, engineering)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave SW
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
