Your Opportunity

We are actively seeking for a Mechanical Engineering Technology student to join our growing team in Fredericton, NB office over the summer term.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assisting technical staff prepare contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details and sketches from conceptual design through to construction.
• Produce aspects of mechanical design and drawings in 2D and 3D software, such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Navisworks under direction of senior staff.
• Help draft drawings and graphic work to be reviewed by a senior member of the team.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and work in a team environment.
• Be proactive and self-initiative.
• Be fast learner, with the ability to adapt.
• Basic understanding of Mechanical drafting.
• Understands basics of enhanced 3D Software and knowledge of CAD Standards.
• Basic knowledge of software programs including AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.

Education and Experience

Enrolled in 1st year technical diploma program at an accredited post-secondary institution.
