The University of Windsor invites applications for the position of Director, School of Computer Science for a term of up to five (5) years, commencing January 1, 2023.  The candidate must hold a tenured position at the rank of Associate Professor (or higher) or an AAS level III with permanence (or higher) in the School of Computer Science at the University of Windsor and must be qualified to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of Director as stipulated in Schedule A of Senate Bylaw 5. 

Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Director develops and integrates the School’s activities in conjunction with other programs in the Faculty and University, and coordinates the same with industry, government and the community. The candidate must have the vision and skills to enhance teaching and research in the School and build stronger partnerships within the School, Faculty and campus community. The candidate should possess an excellent understanding of the broad spectrum of Computer Science relevant to the School, have a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, and promote quality teaching, research, and the student experience. The candidate should exhibit strong leadership qualities, a commitment to collaboration within the School and external networking, demonstrated managerial experience in an academic context, and a demonstrated record of teaching and research excellence in any area of the School’s areas.
