As a Financial Consultant, you will provide quality advice and service to assist Canadian physicians, and their families, in achieving their personal financial goals. As a partner with MD’s Specialist Advisors, you will seek to understand what’s important to the client and focus on preparing comprehensive financial plans and tailored investment strategies to achieve their goals. You will actively refer to MD Private Investment Counsel (discretionary management), MD Private Trust (estate and executor services) and MD Insurance, where beneficial to the client and their plan. You will be responsible for driving growth in the business, by identifying and executing on business development opportunities, through outbound communications and prospecting. Your ability to work independently as a self-motivated entrepreneur will lead to consolidation opportunities, referrals and new client acquisition. Your strong business acumen in advanced financial planning concepts, including income tax, investment trends and products, will allow you to deliver tailored wealth solutions to your clients. Your thorough understanding of compliance and adherence to all industry regulations, will ensure accurate administration of all client transactions and compliance requirements, thus minimizing risk and expense to the client and the company. As a Financial Consultant, you will participate in facilitating webinars and events to deepen relationships with existing and potential clients.
What You Need:
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience providing financial planning advice, within the financial services industry
IIROC licensed as a Registered Representative (IIROC-RR) including completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and 90- day training; Wealth Management Essentials (post-licensing requirement)
Life License (LLQP)
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is an asset
A breadth and depth of knowledge of core financial products, market trends and the regulatory environment
Technical proficiency with virtual meeting tools and CRM applications
