Position Summary...

The Specialist, Item File (IF) is responsible for ensuring that all data pertaining to master data records is set-up and maintained with high quality. The Specialist, IF will work closely with teams across the business to support the creation and on-going maintenance of high quality item data, ensure master data processes and guidelines are enforced, and serve as a subject matter expert related to master data. This role will also lead the training effort of IF and data governance processes, and be accountable for IF and data governance projects, enhancements, and adoption across the organization.

What you'll do...

1. Partner with Merchandising and other Cross Functional Teams to ensure accurate analysis and timely execution of all requests received for the creation and maintenance of item data, and maintain the requests through a formal process.


2.  Understand and communicate data updates (e.g., creation, maintenance, introduction of new fields, modification in attribute definition etc.) that impact downstream systems / teams. Responsible to maintain working knowledge of systems as required, provide and enroll in appropriate in-house training. Responsible for the creation of job aids and training decks and facilitation of training with relation to Item File and data governance processes, applications and enhancements.


3.  Accountable for decision-making as the project lead with regards to Item File processes, applications and enhancements through cross-functional projects. Responsible to assist on projects to ensure completion and to support coordination efforts as requested.


4. Ensure the maintenance of high quality data, proactively monitor data accuracy and facilitate required data corrective actions with business owners.


5. Maintain clear communication and positive relationships with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development of cross functional teams and provide support on customer needs.


6. Execute on the item delisting process on an on-going basis to ensure that old items are cleansed out of the system.


7. Ad-hoc data cleansing as required (e.g., at the end of a season) to ensure data quality is upheld on an on-going basis & responsible for Data Governance.


8.  Support and enforce established data standards and guidelines related to Item File & Training.


9. Serve as the subject matter expert and central resource to train business owners in Item File creation/maintenance and/or the use of supporting tools. Support the development of technical skills through teaching and mentoring for cross-functional teams.


10. Responsible for I-Traiting Process & Governance ensuring clean and accurate information, so that Item can replenish to stores in a timely manner. Lead the data governance team to work collaboratively and effectively with their cross functional partners and develops the team on evolving new technology and ways of working.
