Summer Intern, Vendor Management

 

Start date: May 2022

End date: August 2022

Location: Remote, with

 

The role:

Supplier Sustainability & Diversity Program support

  • Helps with the development of a Diverse Supplier Database by
  • Conducting searches on the web for available diverse supplier databases
  • Conducts a comparative analysis of available supplier databases to existing BGIS suppliers
  • Conducting spend analysis by Client

Vendor Management

  • Schedules Supplier Business Reviews, collects and prepares data, decks and maintains action register
  • Participate in meetings, supporting communication with clients through presentation and reporting
  • Support vendor invoice and procession, ensuring accuracy in vendor statements
  • Support timely Vendor Payment by engaging with Vendors and Finance to ensure requirements are maintained
  • Work order Closure - engages with Finance/Operations Centre and Vendors to ensure requirements are maintained

 

Who are you?

  • Currently working towards College or University degree in Business, Commerce, Data & Analytics, Supply Chain, or other relevant fields
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Ability to work with a team towards common goals
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working with and presenting to all management levels and client.
  • Excellent written and oral communication including ability to communicate with users with various technical backgrounds.
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work well under pressure
