SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is a member of the talent acquisition team providing support to the various recruitment and onboarding activities. The incumbent will be required to understand the various recruitment functions and how they work together to ensure a successful selection and recruitment process. Through working with the talent acquisition specialists, hiring managers, recruitment tools and established policies and practices, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be accountable for:

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with Hiring Managers, HR Consultants and other HR Team Members to ensure effective use of the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Administers user access. Maintains database and ensures data integrity.
  • Conducts regular audits of open positions.
  • Develops and posts job ads on internal and external resources, as required.
  • Reviews resumes and qualifies applicants for initial telephone screening. Conducts initial telephone screening interviews based on Hiring Manager’s specifications, as required
  • Maintains the hiring status of all job applicants in the ATS. Liaises with the Hiring Manager, as required.
  • Schedules telephone screens and interviews on behalf of the talent acquisition team.
  • Prepares and processes new hire Onboarding packages, as required.
  • Coordinates recruitment-related projects, as required.
  • Performs other duties, as required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • One (1) year of relevant experience, preferably in a Human Resources / recruitment environment.
  • Community college diploma or university degree.
  • Demonstrated ability as a strong team player, with the ability to work independently as well.
  • Motivation and a strong sense of personal initiative.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel; ability to use Internet / web-based tools). Experience with Taleo Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is an asset (but not required).
  • Good written ,and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exhibit discretion in handling confidential / sensitive information.
