This 3-credit course examines the methods used to generate, evaluate, and apply knowledge in nursing and health care focusing on the basic processes of quantitative and qualitative research. The emphasis is on analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of research and the implications for theory and evidence-informed nursing practice. Collaboration with interprofessional research teams is described.

This appointment runs from September 1, 2022 until December 31, 2022. The part-time academic instructor reports directly to the Associate Director, Undergraduate Studies Academic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Development of teaching and learning activities related to course-specific topic
• Teach course content
• Assessment and evaluation of student learning
• Use of Brightspace for course delivery
• Respond to student queries about coursework
• Attend initial instruction with Instructional Learning Online services re: Brightspace
• Participate in semester 3 course discussions within the program
• Develop and administer examinations
• Submission of grades
• Follow up with students as necessary
