We aren't looking for an API Functional Analyst (RESTful/Async) who works alone. We're looking for a team player, someone who wants to learn and share, someone who loves API solutions, who lives and breathes them!

As part of the API IT delivery team for the Transactional Banking domain, you'll work with the business lines to deliver APIs that are highly critical for the Bank: everything that affects the Bank's chequing and operating accounts (deposits, withdrawals, production of statements, etc.). This team understands the needs of its colleagues and leverages its expertise to roll out innovative, secure and high-quality solutions on various systems and platforms: Spring Boot/Kubernetes/OpenShift and AWS cloud (EKS, Aurora RDS, ElastiCache, etc.).

Your role 

• Show creativity in identifying potential solutions together with the technical teams, including architects, by drawing on your knowledge of the platform and RESTful, asynchronous architecture
• Facilitate and coordinate conversations with product managers and experts to ensure the solution selected is aligned with business needs
• Carry out data mapping and matching across systems
• Define data flows for normal cases and for exceptions
• Work with developers and architects to ensure solutions are feasible
• Identify test data and create test scripts.

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR other diploma in a related field and several years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of the Canadian financial industry, an asset
• Knowledge of RESTful principles
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Experience in data mapping and matching across systems
• Experience with ETL tools, an asset
• Experience with the Postman tool, an asset
• Experience with the Agile Scrum methodology
• Experience in Java, an asset
• Proven ability to design and implement configurations for microservices applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of software development life cycle, DevOps principles and Agile methodology
• Good communication skills, meticulous and detail-oriented
• Ability to work simultaneously on various projects, activities and tasks while meeting deadlines
• Bilingualism (English/French).
