Position Summary...

As a member of our SSC Human Resources team, the People Business Partner provides expert advice, consultation, coaching, and support on all HR matters to both operational and functional department leaders. In addition to providing day to day HR operational services, the People Business Partner also plays a critical role in implementing and supporting strategic people initiatives that help drive the achievement of business objectives and high employee engagement.

What you'll do...

1. Partners with leaders to translate the business strategy and priorities into a talent plan (with appropriate metrics) that enables a culture of high performance.

2. Coaches and advises leaders on the execution of core human resource programs including: performance management, development planning, employee relations, compensation, and engagement.

3. Coach leaders to be “great coaches” and hold leaders accountable to deliver against key people practices to ensure a positive associate experience. Act as Associate Ambassadors to ensure their voice is heard.

4. Provide advice, coaching and counseling support on employment related issue across all HR disciplines including the interpretation and application of legislation, Walmart policies and HR programs and processes, ensuring compliance and consistent application. Conducts investigations, as required.

5. Collaborates with Centres of Excellence in the development, facilitation and execution of HR Programs to ensure the design, launch and sustainability will meet business requirements.

6. Facilitates talent review and succession planning process for Director level and below. Ensures development plans are in place for high-potential talent.

7. Supports talent acquisition and onboarding activities.

8. Leverages data and analytics to identify trends and recommend action to mitigate risks and take advantage of opportunities within respective business unit.

9. Champions and/or participates in key strategic projects in support of the company vision, mission, strategy and culture.
