Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of Internal Communications in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities 

•    Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
•    Assist in the development of strategic communications plans to share information about brand and product advancements with employees in new and innovative ways. 
•    Support the development and execution of campaign tactics to continually increase employee engagement and maintain company’s status as a recognized Top Employer. Proficient in executing virtual and in-person events, newsletters, speaking opportunities, articles/blog posts, and social media campaigns. 
•    Act as an internal ambassador to encourage continued employee engagement on existing communications channels (including Tangerine Central and Workplace) in addition to new yet-to-be identified communications channels.
•    Support the Senior Manager, Internal Communications & Director, Corporate Communications & Community Investment with executive profiling programs for senior leadership. 
•    Measure the success and ROI of Internal Communications campaigns to determine key lessons, opportunities, and best practices, and communicates these results back to the Business.
•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
•    Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. 
•    Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. 
 

Minimum Qualifications

•    University or College Degree in PR, Interactive, Communications or a Digital discipline
•    5-6 years’ experience delivering on communications strategies
•    Exceptional written and verbal communications skill
•    Strong project management skills with the ability to support multiple initiatives within tight deadlines 
•    Attention to detail 
•    Proactive problem solving
