National Bank is ramping up its cultural, organizational and technological transformation. We're in the process of an Agile and DevOps shift involving multidisciplinary and autonomous teams dedicated to delivering and continuously improving technology and business solutions. 

The SAP platform supports several important business solutions at National Bank (mortgage origination, credit card issuing, call centres, account opening, general ledger accounting). The SAP monitoring team is tasked with ensuring the stability, performance and security of the SAP platform through prevention, detection and intervention activities.

We’re looking for talented people to take on one of two roles: either managing IT and security initiatives or managing incidents.

Your role

Role managing incidents

  • Prevent, detect and stop incidents that could affect the SAP platform and the main business solutions that use it
  • Understand the issues and monitoring needs of the SAP platform and address them to make it work more efficiently and effectively
  • Implement or improve logistics (tools, process, human resources) to monitor the SAP platform
  • Work with various IT teams from the Bank or service providers to investigate and resolve incidents (major or otherwise) involving the SAP platform
  • Assess the risks associated with changes in the SAP business solution IT ecosystem
  • Participate in the 24/7 rotation to provide major incident support for the SAP platform (approximately once a month)

Role managing IT and security initiatives

  • Manage various small to medium-scale IT initiatives for the SAP platform
  • Work with the various SAP platform teams and the Bank’s security team to identify and document security issues and coordinate their resolution
  • Ensure that the SAP platform complies with the Bank's security policies and implement the necessary corrective measures
  • Champion SAP business solutions and relay messages from the Bank’s security team

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience OR another diploma and several years of relevant experience
  • Good technology knowledge (application integration, type of technical issues that may occur, etc.)
  • Knowledge of security or monitoring tools, an asset
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills and autonomy
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize information
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Available on rotation to provide support outside of standard business hours (evenings and weekends, approximately once per month)
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French)
