HOURS: 8:00AM TO 4:30PM

  • Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Retail Helpline, the IT Technical Support Student will play a key role in providing outstanding service, training, and support to Home retail stores and assisting them in the effective use of Infrastructure and Security products, including Inventory Management/Point of Sale systems, HomeInfo, hand held devices, and electronic communications.
  • Assist Home Dealers (Store Owners) with the initial installation of Infrastructure and Security software and hardware products and provides support for ongoing updates to our products.
  • Assist Home retail stores in maintaining computer hardware and operating systems supporting our products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Retail and customer service experience and familiarity with Windows

Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced office environment.

Strong service orientation, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and coaching skills, knowledge of financial and accounting practices as well as a desire to learn are definite assets.

Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required.

Experience supporting computer systems, related post-secondary education and knowledge of Home Hardware systems is an asset
