Job Description:

Please note this is an Evergreen posting - compensation is subject to change based on experience and weekly scheduled hours vary for each assignment.

 

Under the direction of the Chair, Allied Health Programs, the Instructor, is responsible for facilitating and guiding learning and providing an effective learning environment for all students across multiple department and programs.

 

Multiple instructors are required for lab classes held Monday – Friday

 

This job requires occasional or regular onsite work in accordance with Policy HS 16.

Required Qualifications              

  • Registered with the College of Dental Hygienist of Ontario and/or Certified Level II Dental Assistant.  Registration must be in good standing.

  • Minimum of (3) three years of practical industry experience in Dental Hygiene and/or Dental Assisting

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Science, Health, Education or Dental Hygiene is required to teach in the Dental Hygiene program

  • Certificate in Teaching Methodology

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;

  • Stronginterpersonalskills,self-motivated,abilitytoadapttochange,excellentteamplayer,abilitytoworkindependentlyand meet deadlines;

  • Experience with Powerpoint required;

  • Experience with Excel and online teaching technologies is an asset;

  • Experience inteachingortraininginaneducationenvironment is an asset.
