Joining the product management team in National Bank's Commercial Banking sector means contributing to the transformation and having a direct impact on clients.

As Product Manager, you will take tactical and strategic action on all aspects of product management for business banking and cash management products (strategic plan, projects, pricing, etc.).

You will leverage your knowledge of the market and industry trends to ensure operations are aligned with the product strategy.

Your role:

  • For the portfolio of products under your responsibility:
    • Define strategic orientations related to product management and development in order to achieve objectives
    • Establish pricing strategies for products based on profitability and growth objectives
    • Keep abreast of changes in the needs of Commercial Banking clients and market trends
    • Assess the Bank's competitive position, make projections concerning the growth rates of your products, monitor the development of sales and usage volumes for your products, and recommend strategies for optimal positioning in the industry
  • Act as a coach on your work team, particularly for product leads
  • Develop, influence and implement projects, business processes and large-scale mandates

More specifically, you’ll be required to:

  • Prioritize the portfolio of initiatives based on benefits and the capacity of human, budget and IT resources
  • Support strategies and decisions using financial targets and analyses
  • Make executive presentations
  • Take responsibility for certain projects linked to your product portfolio and ensure their delivery
  • Track results, analyze discrepancies and take action as needed
  • Guide the business lines with pricing and product offers when drawing up requests for proposals
  • Negotiate major complex agreements with different business partners

Competencies required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience OR master’s degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in product management and strategy or excellent knowledge of commercial and cash management products
  • Experience in managing and delivering large-scale projects, particularly matrix-based projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)

Preferred competencies

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation
  • Experience in managing business partnerships and serving in an advisory role with management
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite software and JIRA/Confluence
