The Project Lead Electrical Designer is responsible for electrical design development of projects in the mineral processing industry. As this position leads a large scale mining & metals project it is imperative that the successful incumbent have significant demonstrated experience as a project lead on large mining & metals projects.

Day to day duties:
• Prepare layouts and conceptual designs for complex problems
• Prepare design drawings
• Interface with other design disciplines
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD capabilities
• Check electrical layout and schematic design drawings
• Perform squad check of vendor drawings and drawings from other disciplines
• Perform electrical calculations
• Review vendor drawings and update designs accordingly
• Assist the Design Supervisor, as required
• Other duties as assigned
