A career in Compliance at National Bank means to be part of the transformation and make a positive impact for clients. As a Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for the development and management of the Protection of personal information audit program of the Bank's activities in Canada and abroad.

Newly created to contribute to participate in the upgrowth of the protection of personal information program, the Senior Advisor will report to the Senior Director, Independent Evaluation in the Compliance Sector (2nd Line of Defense) which is part of the Risk Management business line.

Your role :

  • Develop with the assistance of experts, the governance framework and regulatory requirements evaluation program regarding protection of personal information, while ensuring that it meets with best industry practices.
  • Work closely with the Protection of Personal Information team to develop and ensure the accountability of the evaluation program.
  • Define the priorities and guide the methodology and regulatory audit work to assess the business lines’ application of control measures.
  • Lead discussions with managers and risk managers from the various business lines.
  • Support the team regarding personal information protection.
  • Identify recommendations aimed at mitigating the risks related to the Protection of personal information.
  • Communicate the results of regulatory audits to leaders and managers, as well as in the various reports deliverable to senior management and regulatory authorities.

The team, composed of 10 people, promotes collaboration with partners in different sectors and pursues new trends to evolve audit practices. This position offers you the opportunity to develop yourself and to work closely with multidisciplinary experts, particularly the Protection of Personal Information team, and to develop yourself by having a transversal view of the Bank's activities in Canada and abroad.

 

Competencies required

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree related to the industry and 7 years of relevant experience
  • CPA, CA (ou CMA, CGA) designation, an asset
  • Experience in internal or external audit or regulatory compliance
  • Experience in Protection of Personal Information
  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) French and English
